Hodge Tries To Dodge The Crimson Wave

Records: Manual (5-0) | CAL (4-1)

BGP Rankings: Manual (#5 in 6A) | CAL (#1 in 3A)

Week 5 Results: Manual beat South Warren | CAL beat Ryle

Series History: First ever meeting

Old Goat Looking For New Blood: Manual football predates CAL's program by over a hundred years. The Crimsons won four mythical state championships in the pre-playoff days before adding a couple of sanctioned crowns in the early years of postseason play. The rise of the 'Big 3' knocked Manual down a peg or two, but they remain a force to be reckoned with, as the Centurions are about to find out first hand. Owners of three titles in the last seven years, CAL has established itself as a Louisville power flying below the watch of T, X, and H. They're testing those waters by luring the Crimsons to the fast track on the east side of town, where Cole Hodge waits with right arm ready to fire. A reliably strong Manual defense had an off night against South Warren. Hodge and Co. will look to exploit whatever holes they can find.
