It’s got to be like nails ranking the top four at this point. I’m sure there are solid arguments for each team to be ranked as they are or differently. There’s no question that the challenge of ranking the upper half and tightness of 2A is daunting.

Can anyone 5-10 compete with the top 4?

No chance and look at the TP94 rankings:

Lexington Christian    73.86
Mayfield         73.81
Owensboro Catholic    67.14
Beechwood    64.8
Shelby Valley    38.48
Murray         36.9
Somerset         31.85
Green County    31.06
Crittenden County    30.2
Leslie County    26.85
Martin County    24.04
Danville         23.39
Monroe County    22.48
Washington County    21.04
Breathitt County    20.96

It's the four horseman but don't play for Notre Dame.

I would switch Beechwood and LCA.  I think OC has more impressive wins than Mayfield, and Mayfield lost their toughest game.  Refresh my memory, what week do the RPI ratings come out?

I’m thinking the same way about Beechwood and LCA. I can understand the thinking behind it with Beechwood needing to be uncrowned and LCA not getting the big win from past seasons. However, going with the moment and current season, it’s hard to not think of LCA being #1.

I’d be surprised if anyone outside of it could at this point.

They will all be running clock games, unfortunately.

I’m thinking if Beechwood and LCA play, 4 scoreboards might be needed for all the points. Love it!

Beechwood vs Cov Cath Friday is probably going to decide that for the rest of the year. If Beechwood beats Cov Cath, they will almost certainly be #1 till someone beats them. A Beechwood loss, LCA will likely jump ahead of Beechwood even though they will both have one loss. That is assuming LCA wins Friday.

Wow, just a bit of difference after #4 .
