Mayfield comes in to this game after an emotional loss to their long standing rival Paducah Tilghman. Does McCracken Co have anything for the Cardinals? Let us know what you think.

The Mayfield/McCracken series just kinda shows that Team A vs Team B kinda gives you an indication of what Team C may do given you already have the first part of the equation, doesn't make sense sometimes.

What I'm getting at, for the most part, Tilghman has handled McCracken over the course of the series, Mayfield has no doubt had the upper hand over Tilghman, yet McCracken has played Mayfield much better than PT has.

McCracken has 4 wins in the 10 year history so far and the average score is Mayfield 37.2, McCracken 32.5

For whatever reason, the Mustangs tend to play much better in some of these games.

All that aside, no way McCracken wins, but I'll say they may hang around a little before Mayfield pulls away. Watch out for Sr. LB Frankie Nutt, who is coming off a 4 sack game for the Mustangs. He's been pretty solid since switching over from DE.

Mayfield by 35.

A side note, Mayfield faithful have been visibly silent about their narrow loss to Paducah Tilghman. No complaining about officials or whatever?

Not really for this thread, but nothing to complain about. We had every chance to win the game, but the blue tornado brilliantly shut down every attempt. Well done.

The game has to be played, Mayfield has too much experience for McCracken young QB. Live to play another day.

Then he better be careful where he throws the ball....although it looked like they also had some success against Mayfield secondary during the 7 on 7 at Murray State..interesting to see what they do in the passing game this week although it will still not be enough to prevent a running clock at some point.
