Without question.  There’s a 99% chance that any team that I don’t root for at any level involving any sport is tied directly to their fans.

Funny you should say that.  I went to almost every Beechwood/Pikeville game starting way back in the 80’s.  I always thought that they had especially nice fans.  Maybe things have changed in the last several years.

It’s not a game day issue and certainly not recent at all. It goes deeper; inter county life. 

Yep. Just one fan, if they are obnoxious enough, can turn me off to a team.

For argument's sake, if there was a fan base that constantly complains about how things aren’t the same as they were 15 years ago, won’t listen to any reasonable explanation about why things may be different now, second guesses every coaching decision that doesn’t work out, and goes on and on about the glory of their middle school program, then yes, I would root against that team.
