Beechwood will cross the Ohio River and open their season against the McNicholas Rockets. McNicholas is about the same size school as Beechwood. Last year McNicholas finished the year 7-6 losing in round 3 of the Ohio Division IV playoffs to Cincinnati Taft. In 2021, the Rockets went 11-2, losing in round 4 by one point to eventual state champion Clinton-Massie. McNicholas is led by the BoBo brothers and RB Ty Snyder. Braden BoBo started at QB as a freshman last year. His brother Ben is a senior WR. Senior RB Snyder is also a returning starter. Beechwood is 3 time defending state champion led by returning junior QB Clay Hayden on offense and senior Xavier Campbell on defense. This opener will certainly be a challenge for new Beechwood head coach Jay Volker and the Tigers. 

Ty Snyder and Ben Bobo were both ‘23 grads for McNick. 
Appears both teams are under 40 players. Should be a good game to indicate how the season will go.

Thanks for the correction. I pulled the 2023 roster and they were both on it. I guess they were using last year's roster.

No Highlands is playing Anderson Ohio now because McNick had to cancel. I have a friend who's kid plays Freshman and is dressing up Sat for Highlands. They were telling me the other Night.
