The Beechwood Authority cannot be thrilled with this performance.  The first 3 weeks of September may be rough sledding in Ft Mitchell.

Three things:

1. Last week Beechwood beat Ryle

2. It is a scrimmage where you try things, try players and you learn things.

3. Cooper looks really good.

Good get ready scrimmage for Beechwood.

Ryle beats Beechwood by 10+ in a real game.

Anything is possible. Glad Beechwood was somehow able to beat them in the scrimmage.

Cooper’s’ sophomore QB Cam O’Hara in three quarters of play was 16 for 21 for 298 yards and 3 touchdowns. He is going to be one of the best QBs in the state this year and he is only a sophomore.

Cooper spread the ball around to a lot of people tonight. Which the best part for Cooper is all their offensive skill players (QB, RB, WRs) are all just sophomores and juniors.

This was a good scrimmage for both teams tonight. Beechwood is a very solid team still, so playing against a very good 5A team in Cooper only will help them.

Its getting real now!!!!

The Beechwood Authority was very complimentary of the Jags.

In your excuse above you went from “they beat Ryle last week”, to this week was just a scrimmage.   This week they got manhandled by Cooper in a game like scrimmage and you say it was just a scrimmage.  Yet, you want to take credit for a win over Ryle in a scrimmage that did not follow game rules and their running qb couldn’t run.  Beechwood QB is not going to run, so major advantage.

Things may end up being fine in Ft Mitchell, but roster size is down, size is down and overall speed appears down.  Better not mess around and lose to McNich and/or Campbell Co.  If they do they may be looking at 0-5 or 1-4 and that won’t sit well.

Not making excuses. Not saying beating Ryle was awesome. Not saying losing to Cooper was disaster. I am just giving results. We have a couple scrimmages that give us some clues about what a regular season game may look like. And the Tigers were 1-4 in 2019 then won state championships the next three seasons. So like I said, anything can happen.

And there wasn’t a first year coach in 2019.

This season like every other is a 100 piece jiggsaw puzzle. We have 10 of the pieces along the border so far and we are trying to guess what the puzzle will look like at the end of the year. Too early to make any definitive statements about what this picture will look like in four months. It is all still a lot of guesswork.

I’m glad to see everyone chomping at the bit to make their remark. It’s been a while since you’ve been able to, so I’m happy for you all. The Tigers will be fine. Remember, after all, they are just a little ole 2A school. ?

A little 2A team with 3 counties of players. Good luck this season!
