  • Can’t wait to see him against NBA talent. Dude is an absolute freak and IF he stays healthy I have no doubt he will be a high level impact player. I believe he will be an immediate force on the defens

  • Definitely not. But it isn’t the NCAA either. For a 18/19 year old kid it’s one of the better tune up gigs you can have.

It will be interesting to see if he lives up to the hype.  I've got no clue what to expect.

Yep.

The Spurs stink and I can’t tell you how much I’m over Popovich, but a quarter ways through Wemby’s rookie campaign, he leads all rooks in points, rebounds, blocks, and steals per game. He has a good shot of leading the league in blocks.

I know we don't have the NBA passion on here that I do, but Wemby is must-watch TV. He will not get it, but Wemby will be on some DPOY ballots. You heard it here first ?

Update:

Putting up nice numbers.  Not enough to drag San Antonio out of the depths like maybe a generational center (Kareem, Shaq) may have done, but he’s justifying the #1 pick.

To be fair Kareem and Shaq weren't 19 when they came in the league either. Both entered the league much more physically mature.

That's very Kevin Durant of him.

Sorry I missed this.

Granted, I watched maybe 10 minutes total of him playing this year, but his numbers tell the tale. His production was better than I thought it would be.

I was curious.  It ain’t easy for a Leo to change their minds but we always own it when we do. ???
