Frederick Douglass is a direct lift from Boise State.

Meh. Similar. Direct lift? No. Western Michigan, Boise and Douglass all have similar elements, but are different. The neck, jawline, and mane all are included elements that are featured on the Denver Broncos.

IMO, Boise's logo makes me think of a dragon more than a horse.

I don’t think it’s a stretch to see where the BC logo came from.

A lot of schools have an interlocked block letter logo.

I love  This thread, especially since it let all BGPers know what the NewCath/Denver Broncos deal was all about. My question is, high schools have been around longer than most public colleges and certainly before professional teams. Which came first in the logo game?

Between high school, college and pro there are thousands of logos so it makes sense that a lot of teams use similar looking logos and would probably be a real challenge to come up with a logo that no one is using or have ever used.

Nobody can beat having a beer logo in the middle of the gym floor.

I'm a proud alum or should I say "Real Man of Genius" of the Apollo High School Fighting Budweisers.
