I walked into the movie theater clearing tears, 9 years old at the time. It's just so comparable.

Now you have two teams in the championship game that have more than their fair share of flaws. You have two teams in the NFC championship game they have their fair share of flaws. No matter who wins the AFC title game, it's not a foregone conclusion anymore that the AFC walks away with this one. No shocker that Marty choked again, I rather enjoyed seeing him lose once more. I just wish Jason Taylor would return the gift to the druggie on the San Diego defense.

January 15, 200719 yr The fumble on the INT was the key point in the game. As I said in the update thread, the fact he tried to catch it at all was idiotic. IMO, that situation should be played identically to what you would do in a Hail Mary situation. Knock it down, do not even consider an interception. For starters, intercepting the ball is not necessary as an incomplete pass means a change of posession anyway. Secondly, the field position would not be as good on an interception. The point he fumbled the ball was nine yards from where they would have gotten the ball anyway. San Diego should have had the ball with an 8 point lead and only 6 minutes remaining. Instead, New England scored the tying TD with 4 minutes left and off they went.
January 15, 200719 yr I am a Patriots fan, but am wondering how they won that game. Brady struggles the hole game then comes up big in the end though. The Troy Brown play was by far the biggest play in the game! Ugly win but I will take it GO PATS! Had a chance to be around Troy Brown last year when ours sons played a little hoops together. He is a professional in everything he does and has a humble spirit as well. My son is fortunate to have been around him, he is a good role model. I hope he continues to contribute in big ways on the field and that the Patriots are successful.
January 15, 200719 yr One of the plays that just baffled me happened on the final drive. Rivers to Gates over the middle and instead of rushing to the line and spiking it to stop the clock, they tried to run a play. Ended up wasting at least 10 seconds. With 18 seconds on the clock the Chargers could have had a chance to move 10 yds closer. I bet when Rivers watches the tape of this game, he'll be of the same opinion...."What was I thinking...."
