Eagles Jalen Hurts signs record $255 million contract extension

Featured Replies

Now the leagues' highest paid player in NFL history.

Only 179.3 guaranteed over 5.  So, on paper it's the richest, but in reality he's still a long way from Deshaun's $.

From NFL's website:

Hurts' deal has $179.304 million in total guarantees, including $110 million fully guaranteed at signing and $126.5 million fully guaranteed by March 2024, as well as the first no-trade clause in Eagles history -- another sign of the franchise's faith in Hurts, who is still only 24 years old.

Good for Jalen.

Jalen is easily one of my favorite football players over the last decade. It's nice to see good things happen to good guys.

So that will now be the floor for Joe’s new deal.

1. Is this deal more or less than what Lamar wants?

2. Who would you want right now - Lamar or Jalen?

So, according to Rappaport, on PMac's show, the Ravens actually offered a deal to Lamar 200 guaranteed.  The 133  was on a shorter deal.  I'm not sure if that is real or not, but if so, I think that changes the whole narrative.

Nicole Lynn seems to have earned her 3%, that's a heck of a deal.

I knew about Lynn, but didn’t realize the rest of his team. Really cool!

Pretty sure Lamar shot that down as not being true.

Has Lamar ever said what they did offer that he turned down?
