Final from Owensboro. They will take on Ashland in the first round of the state tournament. This will be between two of the all-time winningest teams in Kentucky.

I'm very disappointed. I was really hoping for a Warren Central/Owensboro Catholic QF matchup.

Owensboro healthy and dominant from the start. Carbon with 31.

Owensboro state leading 45th appearance in State tourney.

Tied for 3rd in state with 4 state championships.  2nd most victories.

 

Owensboro is playing scary right now.  Hats off to Coach Drake and the job he has done during this postseason run.  Webb playing the role of the rim protector has completely changed the look of this team.  If they continue to give this type of defensive effort at Rupp, they can play with anyone.

You kept predicting that in your 3rd region write up - good call.  Getting Webb back and they are another level, especially with the quickness on the floor.

Good stuff Red Devils! Coach Drake always has them in the mix. 

If Owensboro beats Ashland and probably will. Do they get back at WC? That blowout in the early season does it mean anything or is it still in the back of Owensboro's head? We still are a long way from this potential game/matchup. This part of the bracket is pretty good it looks like.
