Burton to Return for Senior season

Featured Replies

With the draft being very Wide Reciever heavy next year, and with top underclassmen jumping ship already two things are for sure. I think its safe to say Burton made the right choice by not going pro, and that by him returning and others leaving he will be one of the tops in the land next year. :thumb:

This is great news for the Cats and Andre Woodson.

If UK can stay healthy, the offense should be very, very good next year. I'm really excited about the upcoming season...and the Louisville game. For the first time in a while, we have a legit reason to hope for an upset. It'll still take a great performance, but that's not as hopeless a thought as it used to be.

With all the stars from Louisville leaving, is there anychance UK actually might be favored to win this game? I mean UK should be a pretty good team next year and it will be at home, so think it will be a possibility UK could be the favorite in the game next year...

AWESOME news...:ylsuper:

Next fall should be a exciting one in the Bluegrass...

I don't see them being favored at this point. That could always change, I suppose, if U of L plays poorly or loses before the UK game, while the Cats look great leading up to it. I don't expect that to happen.

I still expect the Cards to play well and be favored going into that game. I still think UK will have to play a great game to win, but at least it's more of a possibility now. Considering that U of L hasn't always played great on the road, they struggled two years ago at Commonwealth against what should be a far inferior team to what they'll be facing this time, and they're breaking in a new coach...it all adds up to some actual hope for me.

This isn't a prediction that UK will win by any means, or that U of L is somehow on the decline...it's more about UK getting things headed in the right direction and actually putting a solid product on the field, while U of L will be in the midst of some change which automatically raises some questions.

But again, to answer your question...no. At this point, I don't see UK being favored going into this game. We'll see...

I look for him to have a monster year and improve his draft stock.:ylsuper: :ylsuper:

I told you guys he was staying! UK will have a formiddable offense next season.

Good luck for your senior season, Keenan! And good luck in next year's draft!

I don't think that U.K. would be the favorite at all. I do believe as another poster said there "might" be a legit shot at an upset.

With Burton, Woodson, and Little all returning someone at UK needs to get the Heisman talk started for them next season. One of them could have a chance at it if UK can get the media on their side.
