Biggest positive for me was when Wallace hit that three with the game still on the line. They've drilled 3s this season when they didn't matter and missed nearly everyone late in the two losses. Great to see Wallace drain one in a pressure situation. 

Clutch shooting from the field, free throws going to catch up with this team at a crucial time this season, will take the win and move forward.

The UK teams over the last few years, actually have shot free throws better than most of the UK teams that went to final fours under coach Cal. 

Still not that fluid on offense with many possessions coming down to the final seconds, but UK made several big time shots. Bilas nailed it yesterday when he said the goal for any team defending UK is to let Wheeler finish and not distribute. Had some St. Peters shades yesterday when on consecutive possessions he went turnover, turnover, and airball. Toppin continues his pattern of being All-SEC for one half, and the other back-up OVC caliber. Did anyone catch when the Cats went to a zone in the first half but Toppin was lost as an Easter egg still guarding man-to-man? He didn't play again until a few minutes into the second half.

He is the key to the season. The goal should be to develop him to the point where he is the primary ball handler and decision maker in clutch time moments.... I think Cal knows this.
