Saint Xavier (7-1) will host Pleasure Ridge Park (6-3) after defeating Butler 38-6. Pleasure Ridge Park is coming off a 28-19 loss to Manual.

St. X ran out to a 38-0 halftime lead over Butler and the whole team played and the final was 38-6, so the starters should be well rested coming into this game.

Pleasure Ridge Park had 309 yards passing against Manual and 89 rushing after subtracting negative plays. U of K commit WR Jakob Dixon caught two touchdown passes and RB Lamar Fuller rushed for 111 yards. QB Kayden Anderson had great game throwing 309 yds and 3 passing touchdowns. Pleasure Ridge Park has guys that play both ways and eventually were worn down by deeper Manual.

This is a key district game as a PRP win will create a three way tie while a St.X win gives St. X the outright district #1 seed. St. X has more depth than PRP and like Manual should wear down the Panthers. The PRP passing offense will present a challenge to the St. X secondary. Can PRP pull the upset or does St. X wrap up the district championship?

St X win IMO but a PRP win would make 6A even harder to figure out and would just be funny at this point.

Good catch. Contingent on beating Bowling Green, otherwise would use either Central, Ryle or Male which would still net enough wins. Hopefully doesn't matter with a win over PRP. If don't beat PRP the

Looking at tie breaker rules, if St. X were to lose this game, St. X will be the #1 district seed. Tie breaker for 3 teams is to count the wins of 4 teams you played that aren't involved with tie breaker. Out of state opponents can count so Elder, Bowling Green, Trinity, and Owensboro would net St. X enough wins for tie breaker compared to Manual and PRP.

Disregard the tie breaker info I think they use rpi now. I was looking at older document that had the old tie breaker rules.

PRP scored 14 against Bowling Green, 19 against Lexington Catholic, and 19 against Manual. St. X has better defense than those teams so I think PRP only scores 7. I think St. X can score around 35 so I'll go with St. X 35-7.

This game score wise should be pretty similar to the X-Butler game. Only difference I see is that there won’t be a 1st half running clock. X has too much speed on defense so the PRP QB may be running for his life most of the night. I can see an X win 45-14.
Jakob Dixon may be playing with a lot more incentive going against some of his former St X teammates. He’s a big target so it will be interesting to see how X defends him.

Go Tigers! Big game tonight with significant post season implications.

Mr. Football Spotlight Game

After sitting out last week, do we see Micah Carter back in action tonight? The X defense is so good, it might not matter. But with 6'5" Jakob Dixon owning every physical advantage over the Tigers' secondary, having Carter's length to disrupt passing lanes and attack Kayden Anderson would be a huge plus for St. X.

it's going to be hard for the PRP OL to give their QB consistent time in the pocket all game. Think Carter and Panariello could have big games off the edge for the X defense.

Dixon will get some yards because he's that good, but when those yards occur will be key for determining if PRP can hang around. I'm sure Dixon will be excited too facing former teammates and wanting to put some of them on his highlights.

Not sure on Carter but I assume he will play. St. X Safety 6-2 Christian Coleman who is one of top hurdlers in the state will matchup best with Dixon out of St. X secondary.
