The 8-0 Raiders host the 6-2 Wildcats in the 4A District 2 championship.

Warren East has not won a game in this series since 2012. It's been a long ten years.

Is this the year they finally get the proverbial monkey off their back? Or will Franklin Simpson keep their grip firm on this series and proceed through as usual?

Anyone?

I think Franklin is going to struggle to defend the passing game of the Raiders, and I honestly don’t know how Franklin is going to move the ball offensively. I really don’t see how this isn’t a Raider win and by a significant amount.

This is not a great FS team.

This is a 4A challenger out of the West of an East team.

When those have been the conditions, it has not worked out well for the Wildcats.

East takes care of business.

As much as I’d like to offer a different prediction than the ones already here, I honestly can’t. I could tell during the playoff game last year that the Raiders had something promising with Dane Parsley at QB. The only question mark would be the fact that East has played a pretty weak schedule, I think Wayne County is the best team they’ve played. That doesn’t mean the Raiders aren’t good though. 
 

This FS team just doesn’t have the speed that they usually do. The line is ok but not special like they had a few years ago. A couple of their defensive starters from the last season or two are starting for South Warren now. If they can force some turnovers and play mistake-free football they have a chance, but unless their pass defense improves from what they showed against Greenwood and Logan County, I don’t like the Wildcats chances. East probably wins by 2 or 3 scores. 

I’m a little more confident in the Wildcats I guess than most I don’t know if they will win but I think they could be the toughest game on East’s schedule thus far.

It's hard for me to come up with a prediction here with all the factors in play. Certainly East has looked like the better team, schedule not withstanding. I will say if Franklin doesn't have the secondary to hang with the Raiders perimeter threats then it could spell a lot of trouble. I'm not too sure I want to throw a score out there, because the big unknown for me is Franklin's pass rush and if they are capable of sustaining pressure on Parsley. Should that play a role, we could be heading for a very intriguing four quarters.

Them being a threat to East and being their toughest game thus far aren't mutually exclusive.  The latter can be true without the former being true.  I don't see Franklin really being a threat to win, but they still could be their toughest game so far, though my guess is that will still be Wayne County. 

Game day out Louisville Road. 

Should be a fun one and I am looking forward to watching Dane Parsley.

Having not actually watched either team play makes it impossible to make a truly informed prediction.
