Raiders come in looking for 8-0 against Allen Co. This is traditionally a pretty good rivalry over the last 6-7 years. Believe it’s a 4-4 split in the last eight games. Could be wrong.

Allen County has games where they were very competitive against teams that were probably above their nose as a group. Then they have some head scratching losses that don’t constitute a typical Brad Hood led ACS team. I expect them to come in and play very hard.

Thoughts?

Good game here with playoff implications!

Thanks to @DragonFire information, Warren East leads the all-time series with Allen County Scottsville 24-20 going back to 1974.  Interesting is East played Allen County High School (pre-ACS) from 1969 to 1973 with AC winning 5 of 6.  So, if you combine those it is really even at 25 wins for both schools!  That's pretty awesome after that much time playing.

In the last 8 games, ACS has won 5 and East has won 3, but most games are within a couple scores.  So, this one could certainly follow suit.  But with the Patriots coming into this one at 1 and 6, I look for Warren East to win by at least 2 TDs likely more.

The Patriots at the beginning of the year looked like a team capable of competing here, even though I personally thought East was probably the district favorite from Day 1.  But things just have not gone well for ACS.  Their losses have generally been marked by competitive first halves and then something just goes awry for them and they just can't get going again.  I thought the McLean County game would be a get right contest for them, and they really needed it to be.  This game is decidedly not a get right contest.  This is the best team they've played since Greenwood in Week 3, and I fear it is not going to be competitive.

Allen Co usually is a hard hitting competitive team and I wouldn’t be surprised if they kept it close.

12 all mid first quarter. Allen County-Scottsville took opening kick back for the score, then a 70 yard drive after a turnover on downs. Then East scored twice in three plays - a Parsley 52 yard td run and Ghee fumble recovery returned for 40 yard score.

East also racked up three unsportsmanlike penalties in five plays. This one has had a lot so far.

18-12 east now. Parsley hit Price for 60 yard score. Beautiful pass. Raiders have scored two tds on seven offensive snaps. And the first four resulted in a turnover on downs.

East looks uninterested to me. Long game ahead but need to get it together.

Welp. If you like brawls this is the game for you. Several people about to be ejected after an East TD.

40-12 not even half time. East

I said it on Twitter and I’ll say it here - this game has been disgraceful. I have not enjoyed watching control slowly lost and it finally boiled over.

Not watching so I don’t know, but did the refs just not step in earlier to get under control?

It was a pretty ugly display on both ends. One player ejected for each. Really hurts East because of next weeks implications.

I don’t think they responded fast enough at the start of the game, and by the time they did, it was too late.

I also just witnessed some fans accost a Warren East coach in the stands, so things are real fun here.

Some actual comments about the game…

after ACS went up 12-0 a gear completely flipped for East. I’m going to attribute it to the off week/fall break.
From about 8 minutes in the first on it’s been a whipping. Parsley is the real deal.
