Welp. I guess the sword in the helmet WAS the motivation.

  • Total meltdown from Boyle in the last few minutes of that game. Questionable decision to go for it on 4th and 4 which gave Lex Cath good field position. The defense couldn't stop the big play and gave

In the real world it is huge but RPI is not the real world, they are an input.

A win over Douglass might have a little more value overall than a win over Campbell County because of better OWP for Douglas, but not much. In the RPI win column, beating 6A Campbell County earns more than beating 5A Douglass so that probably offsets the OWP.

I don't think there will be any changes now that the updated RPI is out.  Corbin, and Lex Cath will win out finishing 1 and 2.  Boyle will get the 3 and Johnson Central the 4 in the East.

I'm assuming the "1" in front of Boyle's rpi score is a mistake.  Shouldn't that be a "0" like everyone else?

Lex Cath closes out the year at Scott County, so it is possible that they drop that game. Corbin on the other hand should win out pretty easily. Even if Boyle drops their last game against Douglass I don't think Johnson Central will be able to catch up.

An interesting (and possible) scenario would be for Boyle to win out, Lex Cath lose to Scott County, which should put Boyle at #2 and Lex Cath at #3 in the east giving them (Boyle) home field advantage for a potential round 3 rematch.
