Class 4A

1. Boyle County at #3 Lexington Catholic

2. Corbin vs. Knox Central

3. Lexington Catholic vs. #1 Boyle County

4. Johnson Central vs. Perry County Central

5. Central at Waggener

6. Spencer County at Valley

7. Logan County vs. Madisonville-North Hopkins

8. Franklin County -- OPEN

9. Warren East -- OPEN

10. Letcher County Central vs. Clay County

Obviously the game of the week is Boyle/Catholic. However, Logan County and Madisonville are playing for what should be the district championship and avoiding a potential second round road trip to Warren East (or Franklin-Simpson).

As of now, it seems unlikely that a team from the West half will make it to the championship round. The east is loaded this year.

Half of the top ten is in the west.

0 of the top 4 and there is a steep drop-off beyond those 4.

I want to wait until about 10pm Friday night before I go that far.

Yeah, but there has to be two teams in the finals and I'm in agreement with @burreaux that both squads will almost certainly come out of the east.
