Ole Miss 22 Kentucky 19

In my opinion Ole Miss didn’t beat Kentucky as much as Kentucky beat Kentucky. Shot themselves in the foot too many times. Two missed extra points and a field goal, not to mention a safety. If they take care of those mistakes it wouldn’t have mattered how many times Levis fumbled at the end of the game.
I think Ole Miss played at the peak of their game and UK played average, or below, and still nearly won an SEC road game.

Ole Miss blocked an XP, and sacked Levis for the safety… You’re not giving them due credit.

Quarterback play is so very important in modern college football.

This game also showed why I just can’t trust Lane Kiffin when it matters most. What in the hell was he thinking having his team go for it deep in UK’s territory late in the 4th? Even if UK scores a TD, it was probably a 50/50 proposition of converting the XP. It wreaks of “Hey, look at me, I’m Mr. Genius football coach Lane Kiffin.”

He won the game, now 5-0 and evidently doing something very right.

I didn’t say he is a bum, but poor decision making from the head coach will eventually come back to bite you. The Rebels have taken care of business thus far, but aside from UK, they haven’t played a murderers row of a schedule.

And for the record, I’m a big fan of Kiffin and love his presence in college football.

Kentucky needs to keep their heads up and go all out on S C.  No doubt in my mind that last sack wouldn't happen with the starting right tackle in the game.

The backup RT had help on that play, they needed to drive the DE and stop his momentum.
