CovCath made some good plays. The difference is SK defense was in the back field alot. #61 Aba Selm 6'4 295 was in the back field alot tonight. Kid is a beast! 34 Josh Bowling and 44 Harris played great also!

Cov Cath is down. No QB really as yet.   Losing Zion hurt the D too  SK is decent and Crohn pretty good QB.

SKs last score shouldn’t have been as the ref blew a call that should have given CCH a first down late with a chance to tie.  That said SK was the better team tonight.

SK offense ran the ball great! Biggest difference receivers caught passes! Kitchens caught 2 long balls. Last week receivers dropped alot of passes glad they worked hard and cleaned that up.

Makes me hungry every time I look at it.

SK Played a very nice game and will give 6A teams a lot of problems.  Friday night they were the better team and will be the better team in most of their games this year.  CCH is not a bad team, but they didn't look good either.  A couple of key plays that they couldn't capitalize on could have made a difference in the game, but that's what makes good teams, good teams.  SK made the plays, CCH didn't which gave them the win Friday.   I'm not down on my Colonels as they are young and lack varsity experience.  This team has a lot of Junior starters and I think they have four Sophomores either starting or getting significant play time.  They're going to have a tough early season with Elder, Pikeville and Lex Cath right out of the gate, but by the second half of the season I think they will be battle tested and ready to roll into the playoffs. The future is bright at CCH with the young players not just at the varsity level, but the JV and Freshman looked lights out good.  I'm sure I'll get corrected if I'm wrong as it was hard to follow the split field games, but the JV game was 28-0 CCH and the Freshman game was 29-6 CCH

I know just a scrimmage but I believe that is the first time SK has beat CovCath.

Wow, Highlands put 70 on CCH in the regular season!

That was the next time Highlands and Cov Cath played after the “mud bowl”… and Lorenzen and Smith were seniors. Cov Cath graduated 20 starters I believe from the previous year.  Perfect Storm.

Also that Simon Kenton team was pretty good. Nevels was one of their best players.
