SirMixAlot
With his performance against ND in the Sugar Bowl, did JaMarcus Russell solidify himself as the top QB in the draft should he choose to come out?
Son of Bear
Yes.....and he should fair better than most QB's in Oakland would because he is 6'6" 260. He may be the only one who can take the pounding behind the Raiders Oline.
IAmAFan
They would be vastly improved with him and several OLine draft picks. The D is good enough to play and they have a decent recieving core.
SirMixAlot
We all know that Al Davis loves going after African American quarterbacks. Son of Bear, you are dead on. They need someone big enough to take the constant pounding from that horrible offensive line.

cvillecat
His stock definitely is higher due his performance but where he will go in the draft can chnage due to how he performs in the combines.

He has one leg up on the combine. He certainly passes the look test...

greendevil
I've said for a while he is my favorite quarterback out of the top 3 people are saying considering going out for the draft (Quinn, Brohm, Russell) He can throw the ball a country mile and run. On top of this I think he has the ability to cover up some mistakes with arm strength.... I've heard him compared to Culpepper when Culpepper was something... strike-3
I remember him playing as a Freshman, but I don't remember he being that big. Anyone know how big he was going into LSU?
fieldhousekrayzie21
I would pick him first... That all depends on his Wonderlick test though!
dolamite
The Raiders need both a QB and RB and its untelling which way Al Davis will go. Davis does seem to like African American QB's, and it would be almost impossible to pass up one in the mold of Daunte Culpepper. It would also be hard to pass up the likes of an Adrian Peterson (if he comes out). On a side note though, ponder and digest this one.....Davis has drafted 24 QB's, and only one.....Ken Stabler lasted in the league for more than three seasons. :sssh:
fballman007
He is a great QB easy could be the top pick, but I'm no QB expert
