January 1, 200719 yr Tennessee was going in for the go ahead score with the score tied at 10 in the 4th quarter when the UT rb fumbled and a PSU defender took the ball around 80 yards for the eventual game winning score. Good game...I always like to see Coach Paterno end the year with a W.

January 1, 200719 yr Alabama losing was no shocker... They just weren't very good this year... SEC is 4-2 in bowl games so far this year... About to be 4-3 as Arkansas is on the ropes against Wisconsin.

It was said quite often that Wisconsin and Penn State didn't count as quality wins because they weren't any good. That doesn't look so good now. Michigan is destined to lose with the weekend I'm having, so I'm enjoying what I can...
January 1, 200719 yr I think the argument has been that the Big 10 top to bottom was not as good this year, but at the top I think there's no conference in the nation that could compete with them this year. Penn State winning this game was a slight suprise to me, but I think most would say Ohio State, Michigan, and Wisconsin are better than any top 3 conference-wise in the nation.

January 1, 200719 yr Hangman, we also had no coach and we lost on a last second field goal, but you are right "we were not very good this year"...Thats why we had no coach.
January 1, 200719 yr UT has gotten stale. Firing Fulmer might be an option. They had some injuries, but their offense has really bogged down especially late in the year. Many thought it was juggling of QB's or even Randy Sanders. Something is missing there.

That's the argument I heard throughout the year too... I don't remember people saying the Big11 was weak though.
