So they are making the Sheakley field a permanent indoor facility? Will it be for UC use only or will they allow other events there like they currently do at Sheakley?

There's two fields there currently. A full field and half field.

The full field will be where the permanent IPF goes. The current stands/press box will be torn down and where they build the offices, locker rooms, weight room, team meeting rooms, etc in between the practice field and baseball field... So doubt there will be high school events held there once the project is complete. 

Other UC sports programs will be able to use the IPF but football will be the primary resident with all football operations being moved to the new Performance Center, which will open up more space in the Lindner Center for the other programs to expand. 

Not sure what they will do with the half field portion. There is a huge cooling tank and other utilities underneath so my understanding is that is an area of the land that they can't do much with. 

Pictures below for reference of the area. Replace the bubble with permanent structure, tear down stands and clear the area towards the baseball field for a multi level performance center. 

A few details from below:

- Salary increase: $3.4 mil to $5 mil per year

-Staff budget increase: $3.85 mil to $5.2 mil per year

- Commitment to new Indoor Practice Facility: UC’s Board of Trustees approved a $7 million funding request to cover any design and pre-construction services required to construct a new facility on the Sheakley practice field, and the university recently posted an architecture and engineering request for qualifications for the project. The submission deadline for that is 2 p.m. on Feb. 15

Home schedule isn't very good this year outside of IU.... ECU should be one of the better teams in the conference but that game is being played on a Friday night. 

The game at PBS v Miami is a major plus for UC. 50-50 revenue split and they essentially get an additional home game. 

Walt Stewart should help fill the void on the DL but still a big loss. 

Michael Colosimo has been added to the UC staff in an Offensive Quality Control role. He spent the last 7 years at Tennesee, Kentucky, and Tulane after graduating from Beechwood.

Probably won't be updated until we get close to fall camp.

Sophomore CB De'Arre McDonald recently announced his intent to transfer out.

I expect a few more transfers in and out of the program after spring ball once guys realize where they are on the depth chart heading in to the summer. 

Great exposure for the program.

Spent the last two seasons as Special Teams QC at Ohio State... Played 7 years in the NFL.
