There are lots of good coaches in the state of Kentucky. To say one is the best is very subjective.

While at Warren East, he beat BG. While at BG he appeared in multiple state championship games before hauling off an historical win streak and winning 3 state championships back to back to back before winning another two back to back.

 

During his first season at St. X, he beat Trinity. Many thought Kevin would not be able to get the job done. He got the job done. Kevin is one of the top coaches in the state of Kentucky, if not the top.

Transitioning from Public school to Private school, while achieving the highest honor for teams in football shouldn’t be taken for granted.

 

Kevin is part of the reason why WCPS had to build a mega school to compete with BG. He is also the reason why St. X is back relevant.

He may have had another at St. X in 2018 if top two QB's didn't get hurt and had to start Sivori as freshman making first varsity start and lost by 10 to Male who St. X beat in regular season.

The pressure he had in leaving BG to come to Louisville with only one job to do and that was to win a state championship, I would say he is at the top right now. This is the hardest class in the state and the pressure with the job?

When Wallace went to StX he inherited a program that was going downhill fast. He had to restructure the whole culture back to what StX was known for. It may not have been as fast as the fans and alumni wanted but he got the job done and the future looks bright. His 2022 team should be even better than this year’s team. A lot of young guys played major roles this season
