Mason Co.75 Henry Clay 65

Featured Replies

I think some of the posters were saying the games "they already played" were weak games, not meaning the entire season. Mason is now proving themselves as the games get tougher. Henry Clay is a solid win.

If Minnifield doesn't get hurt in the 1st quarter, I think this game has a different outcome.

Could very well have,Hope the kid is ok said it was knee problem.

Isn't Minniefield an all-state football player?????

Hope Minnefield is ok as well, apparently hurt it the night before and came back to play against Mason. Maybe if the kid was 100% going into the game with Mason then the outcome is different, but injured to begin with and then coming back against Mason to play, not sure how much he affects the outcome of this game not being 100%....JMO.

Thanks for that clarification but really nothing different from my statements and maybe further justifies my above statement about being 100%.

Would have been interesting to see what would have happened in this game if this kid doesn't go down with that knee injury. Hopefully nothing serious, cause he is playing football at the next level.

Moses was a monster, Boyd is a great athlete!

Henry Clay just lacked some depth from the bench.

Miller seemed like he got out of the gate slowly in this one (probably nervous cause OTS present in the crowd). He took over in the 2nd half. I am concerned about him defensively. He seem lazy on the defensive end, and doesn't position himself very well. Just being critical on the kid, don't get me wrong, he's GOOD.

Middleton and Setty are guns!!! They can fill it up from nearly anywhere on the floor.

If and thats a big IF that happend whats that say about the 10th.Takeaway Scott County does that makle it better than the 11th.And did i say yet thats a big IF cause they both got tough games tomm.Against teams from the 2 regions that are supposed to be the best.

There were only two teams from the 11th region in this tournament and the regions are currently even against one another. The 11th has a lot of depth and HC and LC are slightly below Bryan Station, Tates Creek, and a little better than Dunbar, Madison Central, LCA, and Lafayette. Scott County looks to be ahead of them all at present but its a long season. The top three in the 10th are competitive with the top teams in the 11th. The 11th and 7th are still the most competitive regions I think but thanks to their showing to date in the 5/3, the 10th and 9th are also very good.

Minnifield and Bowman in the backcourt the whole game would have been tough for Mason County, HC was up at least 6 when Minnifield went down. If he's able to stay in the game I don't know whether Mason can pull away at the end of each half or not.

Darius shouldn't be nervous when OTS is on the scene; I believe the scholly has already been offered and last night was the 3rd or 4th time (maybe more; I'm losing track) that Coach Smith has been on hand for a Mason County game this year.

Darius needed more help from the supporting cast against a very athletic HC squad and got it. Three-point shooting was critical, and Mason County hit at least half of them. Great all-around game for Middleton tonight. Browning came in and gave quality minutes. Miller got just enough rest to stay pretty fresh.

Tough game coming up tonight!

Miller might have been the 4th best player on the floor lastnight. Before Minnifield went down he was playing the best of all, Moses had a monster game along with Boyd. Don't get me wrong Miller is a tremendous ball player but he might have been thew 4th best player out there lastnight. Mason hit some big time shots.

Darius Miller is a tremendous basketball player and Mason is a awfully good team. I wander though, at least to me why Mason is using so little of some of their bench players? Seemed like Coach O'Hearn went to the bench more last year ansdthis year is doing it less. I doubt the players got worse over the summer! Just an observation!

You are crazy saying that Miller was the 4th best player on the floor last night there is no way that is true. If that is true why isn't Tubby looking at them?
