Franklin County 14 Central 8

The Flyer defense was the difference tonight.  Moorman, Ledford with huge games for the Flyers.  Survive and advance!  District Champs!

Ultimately, you have to feel that Central’s inability to run in either the punt block - which was a better block away from a score - or the fumble on the next possession cost them the win. Not only did they not get into the end zone on the actual plays, but got no points on either subsequent drive. They simply could not cash in offensively most of the game.

Because the Flyer defense was strong enough not to allow it.

Being that one dimensional is tough to do, especially when facing a team with a defense like FC has .

Central was out hit all night by FCHS, but mishaps and turnovers kept Central in the game. Central basically ran an entire different defense from what I could tell, used speed to confuse and attack the Flyers.  Caught the Flyers off guard. But In the end Flyers just ran over em for the win.
