Not true at all. It would have been an OT game if Dixie had their kicker last game. Ryle went for 2 after going up 13-12. Obviously either team could have won in OT, but Dixie was not a sure thing in OT since they were getting worn down by the Ryle run game (according to a Dixie person in the know).

True, and also a TD taken off the board for Ryle, for Savage's helmet being ripped off. Sure that is the rule, but should have been a facemask call, giving ryle ball on 1 with 2 shots to get in. Those points never hit the board.

I like Dixie as the sleeper in 6A. Everyone flocks to the household names each year but I like what I have seen of Dixie in big games. They have some dudes. They just need to keep their foots on the throttle when they get going.

Savage absolutely did not score. He was stopped, and on that hit his helmet came off about the 2yd line, and when the ref was blowing it dead and Dixie was letting up, he pushed the pile forward into the end zone. That was the explanation given to the sidelines after the refs talked it out. Dixie’s score that wasn’t changed the course of the game because on the very next play, Ryle intercepts the ball with a short field. I hope both teams keep their chins straps buckled tight tonight. This is going to be a good one.

It should be a classic tonight but I don’t see Dixie ending Ryle’s season for a 3rd straight year.  Dixie has some studs but Ryle is the better team imo.  Weather may be a factor which favors Ryle’s run game.  

Dixie got the ball first and ended up punting.  Ryle on offense.
