21-21 at the half.

OC defense stepped up their game in the second half, and they shutout a potent Eastern offense that came in averaging 33 ppg.

Colonel offense with right at 500 yards of offense on the evening, and really dominated on the ground, with two runners over 100 yards, including Sam Young and Caden Sheppard.   Unofficially, we had OC with 351 yards on the ground.

Nice win for OC. Looks like Eastern still no threat to Trinity and Ballard in district.

The gap between Trinity/Ballard and Eastern is still pretty wide, but Eastern does seem improved. They've beat teams they likely would have lost to over the last few years. A school the size of Eastern should never be bad but it seems like they've had a hard time getting it going there. Hopefully the new coach can turn things around.

I agree as well.  I believe Eastern in the largest high school in the JCPS system so talent should be abundant.  I think part of the problem is they are now on their 5th coach since 2010.  It's hard to get momentum going when the system changes every 2-3 years on average.

Agree.  I have heard they have had trouble getting the talent from the hallways onto the gridiron.  Not totally sure that's accurate, but it seems plausible.
