North Laurel 61 South Laurel 8

The battle of Laurel Co., well, wasn't a battle as North rolls!

Harsh!

I know South Laurel isn't very good but it does seem like North Laurel has a really solid club this year. Are the Jaguars a threat to Southwestern or Pulaski County?

My power rating had N Laurel at 77 and S Laurel at 14. So this result not surprising.

I am a big fan of both Coach Larkey & Coach Irwin. Both teams also have very good young QB’s .... Tucker Warren @ North & Landry Collett @ South.  Both programs have bright futures.

It’s a tough road to return to your hometown and rebuild the program. Coach Irwin will get that done. Coaches don’t like to admit it, but some things just take time and there is no way around it. Each day you wake up, one day at  time, do your best, and be a little better by the end of the day.

Wish them both the best going forward.

I think right now NL is probably the second best team in their district. A lot will be played out over next couple weeks for them. First up will be Southwestern next Friday if they can pull out a win then they will control their own destiny on 1st place in the district. If Southwestern beats them then they will once again have a shot to secure 2nd place in their district the following week when they play Pulaski. Big time games coming up for NL. They could make a statement and win both games and win their district they have more than a punchers chance with this years Jags team.

What’s going on at South Laurel?

Ouch!

That'll sting for a year's worth of bragging....
