Class 3A

1. Christian Academy-Louisville at 5A North Bullitt

2. Mercer County vs. 6A #5 Bryan Station (at Boyle County; 8/28)

3. Ashland at 4A Boyd County

4. Elizabethtown at 6A Meade County

5. Belfry vs. 5A #4 Covington Catholic

6. Bardstown vs. 4A #10 John Hardin

7. Russell vs. 1A #2 Raceland (8/28)

8. Paducah Tilghman at 5A Graves County

9. DeSales at 6A North Hardin

10. Taylor County at Larue County

I am thinking 3A is pretty weak this year.

Respectfully to the few good programs in this class, 3A is by far the weakest class in this last reclassification. They need to consolidate some 4A to 3A and 3A to 4A to balance out both class. Just my opinion.

Tilghman will be moving ⬆️ they are on the rise.

This class is staring at another big shakeup. At least seven of the top ten have very difficult games this week.

Honestly hard to complain about this week’s rankings. They might be right, might not be. I think there could be shakeups throughout the season.

Even though 3A may be down this season, it's actually pretty exciting. The parity creates a lot of drama as opposed to knowing the top 2 or 3 teams only have a chance as is the case at times. 

From week to week, we may not know what to expect and I'm perfectly fine with that. This may truly be a year where anyone in the top 10 or even beyond can get hot and make a run. 

I can't wait to see how it plays out.

I definitely think the first half schedule will prepare them for later down the road. At least that's the hope.

Class 3A may seem week. I think it is misleading. Every team in the top ten will be playing up in class this week, except for Russell ( play #2 in 1A and always tough Raceland) and Taylor vs a same class Larue. They are not backing down from anyone. I agree it will be a turnstile at the top though. I wouldn’t call it week though.
