Mayfield 35 Graves County 21

Graves led 14-7 in the 1st quarter, but as we often see, Mayfield makes adjustments with the best of them. 

Mayfield used a couple fumbles and a big special teams touchdown to their advantage to help pull away and got a big interception in the 4th to help stop any hopes of a Graves rally. 

Mayfield travels to Hopkinsville next week, Graves will host Paducah Tilghman.

Was a good game. Both teams made mistakes, but Graves made a few more and give Cards credit they capitalized. 
 

I thought Graves athletes made more, WOW, plays but Mayfield owned the trenches and as the old saying goes…

I think this is exactly the right assessment, Graves definitely had more WOW plays in the game, but Mayfield owned the line of scrimmage, and that’s really what won them the game.

Credit to the refs. Coach Joe tried to steal a field goal attempt at the end of the half and they didn’t fold.

Based on those stats, it looks like Mayfield stayed with Cartwright at QB all game. There was some thought they might split the playing time up some at QB, wasn't there?

He played the whole game. That was the rumor and they may still do it later.
