The Braves are shopping him and the Reds could have packaged Ryan Freel or Denorfia with some pitching. Not saying it would be done, but it could have been a thought to consider. Braves also have Scott Thorman who is major league ready. Conor Jackson from the D-Backs hit .296 against lefties. I'm just saying there could have been more potential players out there rather than what they got. Who knows how it'll work out though.

I'm just saying that those were possibilities and for the trade with the Braves, JS is looking to trade LaRoche and in return acquire a leadoff hitter that is an outfielder, and bullpen help, whether it be AAA players or major league players. I don't know much about the Reds farm system but that was just a scenario I was throwing out there. I just think given a little more time the Reds could have made a better move to get some 1st base help, thats all!
