Who else from the NFC do you put in???

I'm no fan of either, and I like Romo, but I'd have felt better seeing either Grossman (who has been horribly hot and cold) or Eli in that spot. By the way, they are tied for 2nd with each other for TD passes in the NFC.

Just looked at the full NFC QB stats. Pick a name out of a hat. Not very good at all outside of Brees and Bulger...

Agreed. Therefore, pick a guy that's been a starter for the whole season. If T.Romo was an overwhelmingly easy choice, fine, but he's not -- Romo is the NFL's latest "cover boy," and a great story (again, I like him), and he is being rewarded for those things with an all expenses paid trip to Oahu.

I'm glad to see Romo make it. I told you guys he was 1 of the top 5 QB's in the NFL this season.

 

I don't think I've ever seen a backup QB make the Pro Bowl.

Eli and Grossman have played full seasons, and have thrown a lot of TD's. Both are top 5 in the NFL in passing TD's...they deserve it more than a guy who's played 8 games.

It doesn't matter. I would have voted in Brett Favre before I put Romo in there.

I thought Grossman would make the squad, apparently Moose Muhammad voted a bunch. I agree about the whole "he's hot" argument, and I agree the NFC has a weak batch but to be named as a PB'er after 7 starts is crazy.

Aren't Pro Bowl selections voted on by coaches and players? I'm not saying that Romo did or didn't deserve to go, but how can anyone say that the votes were biased if he was voted on the team by his peers?

I believe 1/3 of the votes are fans. Usually a guarantee that the wrong guys are on the team (see MLB).

Eli Manning, Michael Vick, Gradkowski (Tampa), Rex Grossman, Brad Johnson, Brett Favre, Jeff Garcia, Mark Brunell, Jason Campbell, Matt Hasselbeck, Alex Smith, Matt Leinhart, John Kitna, etc..............

 

Jake Delhomme and Donovan McNabb are usually worthy candidates but are both injured.
