LRCW
What's the latest on this guy? Has he been practicing with the team?
NHS BIG DADDY
I believe he has started practicing just recently. Have heard that he passes the look test but other than that nobody really knows much else about him. He is eligible to play tomorrow but I highly doubt that we see him. He may even redshirt this year.

He may not be a world beater, but, if he's got some decent talent and skills, I would have to believe he could do as well as what they have there now... He's got a lot to learn an not much time to learn it. If they feel he can contribute this year then I dont see him redshirting. But if he isn't ready then I think we see him redshirt and save the year of eligibility.
Covercorner
Remember how Scott Padgett gained his eligibility in December on the 96-97 squad. Yes the circumstances are different comparing these two, but I belive that Padgett playing that year, set up his play on the Championship team the next year. This could be that type of situation, where playing is better than redshirting. Of course in 96-97, Jeff Shepard redshirted, and it was better for him than playing. It set up his great play in 98. Log Mountain Boy
I cant imagine him playing this Saturday and probably not until atleast after Christmas, unless hes been able to pickup on things quickly. If he doesnt redshirt, Id say the EKU game will be his first significant ball game.

I see what you are saying. Only difference being, I am not sure how much Harris has been able to practice with the team. I believe Padgett had been practicing well over a year before he saw the court.
UKPat02
How many guys can you redshirt at once?

Have heard that he passes the look test but other than that nobody really knows much else about him. He is eligible to play tomorrow but I highly doubt that we see him. He may even redshirt this year. Actually, he isn't able to begin practicing until today, the 15th, because the semester at UK hasn't officially ended. Word going around is he has been playing a lot of pickup games with the guys and they have been teaching him some sets since he hasn't been allowed to be a part of official team practices until today. I've heard the guy is extremely athletic and could provide a boost to the team. Redshirting was mentioned, but the guy worked hard to get eligible for this year, so I am sure he wants to play. I highly doubt we see him at UL, but the Cats have a 4 game stretch coming up against some lesser teams which should provide for some decent playing time for Ramon. Covercorner
How many guys can you redshirt at once? There is no limit, although the practice is much less used in Basketball than a sport such as Football. Thing is, you cant have 30 players on scholarship and redshirt 15. I think the scholarship limit is 13, so it would mean you have some good walkons (Cameron Mills, Ravi Moss) to have the ability to be able to redshirt more than one scholarship player
SLINK
Heard on the radio from Rob Gedel last night that since his last exam was yesterday morning, he practiced yesterday afternoon with the Wildcats. He is eligible to play. He is a 6-7 215lb. SF/PF, depending on where you need him. Very athletic, good quickness, tough rebounder from what I hear from the experts. pigman
Very good looking athlete. Wingspan is 7'1" shoots lights out from what I've seen of him. He can definetly contribute this year.
mobaar
Hopefully he can come in and be a solid backup to Perry.
Blue Man
Yeah well he sounds good enough for me, but the experts only know so much. And they don't know how he will actually play in college ball. Alot different in high school, and in practice, but I hope he is just as good what you all have said. Sounds right, I thought that I read that he had started earlier this week but what you said sounds more likely. I thought that he had to wait until semesters end to start.
