December 15, 200619 yr I'd say that Thomas' head would explode if he played this game. Maybe there is an NAIA version...
December 15, 200619 yr Well, it's an old video anyways... Shag was a sophomore... I do believe that was the year they were an OT away from the final four.
December 15, 200619 yr It's the same old song.....People get tired of hearing about it. You want to complain about it fine, go ahead, but there is no reason to have 20 different threads every 2 or 3 days about it. This thread's entire purpose is to bash Tubby.....Why couldn't this have just been posted in one of the 100 other threads people have started up about the same subject in the past week? :thumb: Well said!!!!:thumb:

December 15, 200619 yr oldrambler, I noticed that you are a UK b-ball fan and a OSU football fan. I have seen this sort of set-up a number of times in the state of Kentucky. How does this happen? What would happen if UK played OSU in football? What if UK won? Not a bash, I just see this pretty often and always wondered about it.

I don't mind you asking and I guess that I would have to say that I would hope that I would stay neutral in that but would probably be for OSU. I would probably pull a little more for OSU though just due to their place kicker (A. Pettry) is from my hometown and attended my h.s. alma mater. Besides that R. brooks told him that they didn't have place for him at U.K. and he is now kicking for the #1 ranked team in the country, playing for the NC and doing very well. I don't think that he regrets anyting about that now . As for you question of "what if U.K. won?" I don't think we would have to worry about that one anytime soon. U.K. football was greatly improved this year but they still might not be able to beat OSU's 2nd team.
December 15, 200619 yr Does anybody REALLY believe a VIDEO GAME could make you better??? 'Cuz I sure dont...
December 15, 200619 yr Does anybody REALLY believe a VIDEO GAME could make you better??? 'Cuz I sure dont... A few NCAA football QB coaches have used it (NCAA FOOTBALL 07) to help explain reading certian types of defenses. Not using it exclusively, but in combination with traditional coaching.
December 15, 200619 yr If IntelliGym if why UK has struggled recently, perhaps someone should ask Billy Donovan why his team used it last year. :sssh: It is amazing how some people look for any reason to try to make Tubby look bad. Besides UK and Flordia, this program is also being used by UConn, Kansas, Purdue, Iowa, Memphis, Georgia, Nebraska, Oregon, Missour, Cal, Long Beach St., Marquette, Flordia St., St. Joe, and Evansville. But then again Tubby is a fool. I didn't say UK struggled because of Intelligym, I said they struggled because instead of shooting or lifting during practice time, they're playing video games. There are many brain stimulation methods that can be used other than a video game, which could've possibly been helpful in keeping Shagari in school. Also, if you think Florida won it all because they used this game, there is no point in carrying on a conversation with you.:sssh:

I don't want to get into it with you about it and I posted my feelings on that paticular thread. But if you want to know "who" -- look in the mirror. At least thats the way I took it. Oh well, dooesn't matter anyway (at least not to me).

Far from saying you post too much or calling your posts out because you didn't agree with me...
December 15, 200619 yr If they want something that will strengthen their brains, maybe they should try school classroom work.
December 15, 200619 yr haha.......nice! Yeah, we all know that simulations and some video games do help. The Football example is great. Quick and easy way to recognize defenses without involving 11 people or to view blocking schemes. You have probably seen some of the NASCAR drivers talk about how they use the game sto learn the tracks better. I've seen Jr. and a few others talk about using it to get used to where the grooves are on each track.
