I trust his opinion. “If Ohio State plays and they don’t have a chance to beat a good team other than Indiana — because you look at Michigan State’s record and Michigan State is not a good team,” Meyer said. “You look at the Wolverines, they are not a good team. They’re really struggling. They could finish the season with one (impressive) win and you see Alabama has all these wins. Can you tell me Cincinnati has a worse schedule than Ohio State? No.” Urban Meyer: Cincinnati has stronger schedule than Buckeyes His son is on the team and wants his first coaching job in a few years. UC has a really good team and belongs in the playoff discussion, right up until the end. It’s my opinion they need a few teams/events to lose/happen in front of them.

Could not agree more. 6 is the perfect number IMO. 6 teams gives you enough wiggle room to put in the obvious top 4, maybe a second place team from a power 5 conference and random team like UC or UCF...

I think they should go to 8 and play it like the BCS bowl games were played as the playoff system. 5 P5 Champs - Highest rated G5 Champ - Then 2 at large This year, more than ever would have been the perfect time to give it a test run... Especially when you consider the additional revenue it would have generated.
December 5, 20205 yr With Covid and conference only schedules teams playing uneven amount of games etc. wish they would expand the playoff to 8 teams for one season only. UC would get their chance for sure.
December 5, 20205 yr My Buckeyes are down 3 starting lineman today, our top reserve lineman as well and starting MLB. @Walter you’re gonna have to be a big Rocky Lombardi fan at noon!

It’s a good thing for OSU then that they are playing their fourth team with a losing record out of the five total games they played so far this year. They could have been in some trouble today, if they played a team that was average or better. ?
December 5, 20205 yr Watching Texas A&M today, and I definitely think UC is the better team out of the two. Sadly the committee will put a one lost A&M in before UC, even though UC probably is better.

Just pointing that literally OSU is going to play 6 regular season games. Out of those 6, five of those games would have been against legit horrible teams. People like to bring it up, when other teams play a weak schedule. OSU schedule this year, the way it has played out. Will be one of the truly weakest schedules ever for a top team. It’s seriously bad, with how bad five of the six teams they have played are. I still think OSU is a top 4 team, just pointing out their horrible schedule. ?

What can we do with Covid though? I know you will be here looking for any opportunity to remind me of our shortcomings lol.

It was only fair to point it out for OSU too.
