Covington Catholic is going to be taking the field with a fire under their rear ends after having a 37-week regular season win streak snapped in their game on November 6th against Lex Cath.

Cooper hasn't played a game since October 30th due to COVID, but is coming in after having won 3 of their last 5 games, including a banger of a win over district rival Highlands. The Jags beat the Birds 48-21 on October 23rd before losing 35-14 the following week at Ryle.

Cov Cath owns this series 5 wins to 0, combining for an all-time score of 222-19 against Cooper.

How does everyone see things going with the matchup in Park Hills on Friday?

CovCath should prevail handily in the end, but these are kids that aren't accustomed to losing and the timing of the loss to LexCath was less than desirable. Or maybe it was a blessing in disguise? I honestly don't know. Time will tell.

It'll be interesting to see if there are any lingering after effects against Cooper.

It will be a little bit of adversity in otherwise carefree lives. It's good for them.
