Pulaski County at Southwestern Predictions/Updates

The west end of Somerset will be rocking when the Maroons invade the "Reservation" this week to decide home field for the district rounds of the playoffs. Southwestern (6-0, #8 in 5A) seems to have left any defensive deficiencies they may have had, back in Week 1. The Warriors have been terrific on that side of the ball over the last five games, since getting lit up by Braedon Sloan in the season opener.

Pulaski County (5-1, #9 in 5A) has been potent on offense as of late, but the main catalyst for the Maroons is quarterback Drew Polston, who exited last week's game with an injury. His availability, or lack thereof, could be critical to the outcome of this game.

This hyper competitive rivalry has been split, five games apiece, over the last ten meetings.

I like Pulaski in this one but I don't really know why.

I like defense, which is why I'm taking SW.  Anything can happen in a rivalry game though.

If Polston is able to play effectively I'll take Pulaski 28-13.  

If Polston is out or limited I'll take Southwestern 19-7.
