He went to be an assistant coach with EKU grad and Georgetown Assistant Richie Riley at South Alabama. It was a excellent opportunity for Coach Young to get back in the NCAA at the division 1 level that was really to good to pass up. Best of luck to Coach Young he did a great job of building the Douglass program from scratch by winning the tough 42nd district in only their third season. They have a lot of young up and coming talent. The job was just posted this morning on the FCPS web site. It will be a very good job to have.

Hearing could have a coach named this week or early next week.

Any word on finalists?

I had heard that Frederick Douglas's girls coach was wanting to move over and coach the boys team.

He might have I'm not sure on that.  

Heard that Estill County coach Jon Bentley could be a finalists.

Any movement on this position?  Haven't heard a thing about it....

Look down on BGP, a hire was made Monday I believe.

No one has been hired as of yet an announcement should be coming in the next few days. The previous report was not correct no offer of the job has been made as of yet to anyone.
