The confrontation after the game was between Hicks and a Greenup Co fan.

I think the fan's as well need to grow up. Ive been to games were grown adults will yell and taunt a player. My gosh, these players are just kids. I dont blame coach hicks a bit for taking up for his players. If a adult is yelling at the Greenup team and making personal remarks than they need to be delt with. This is stupid, i dont think people should be able to get on here and post cruel comments about other individuals, but they do. This sight should be about positive stuff, but no, nothing ever positive ever comes from the members of this sight. Just about all members on this sight are jealous individuals, who couldnt make it playing sports themseves in high school, or who's child stinks at sports. GET A LIFE!

What posts you been reading? We get on each other a lot, but I don't see many cruel things said about players, Hicks creates what he gets, I see adults get on Hicks, not his players, you may need to do a little more research

You have every right to defend Coach Hicks, but it's not a good idea to attack others in doing so. :thumb:

Coach Hicks was not defending any of his players. Noone was taunting the Greenup players. How does not shaking hands with your opponent and whining like a spoiled child protect your team? It doesn't.

 

The altercation was between Hicks and one of his own teams fans. Maybe the Greenup fans were yelling insults and making personal remarks about their own team.

 

If you choose to defend coach Hicks that is your perogative. But I was there and saw his actions and they were unexcusable.

Apparently this guy has a bad reputation of doing this. I wasnt at the game, but if any of this is the least bit true, then the Greenup Co. folks should do something about this sad situation. With antics like this going on, no matter how well your team finishes this season, your achievements will be over shadowed by the "man" you call a head coach. Coaches are the ultimate leaders of a team. Not only do good coaches teach basketball, but they demonstrate ways to handle yourself when winning or losing and teach life lessons. A coach can have a lot do with a young mans maturity into adulthood. I feel sorry for the GC players and fans that have to put up with this guy.

Way to get on to people for calling out kids by going ahead and calling out the members of the site and their kids. Way to trash the website, as well.

 

I think if you dug a little deeper that you'd discover that a big part of the issue sits on the Greenup Co. bench - and NO, its not the kids.
