Aweseom. Jurich thinks U of L will take 35-40K fans. We should be able to make our presence known in 75,000 seat Dolphin Stadium. Can you imagine how many fans Louisville would have taken if the opponent was a more traditional college football power?

Louisville is now up to around 40K for this game...that is absolutely enourmous....I need to do some research and see who is the home team. If U of L is the home team, they could be wearing the black uni's....

Am I wrong, or does Louisville have a pretty strong alumni association in Florida? If that's true, that certainly will boost their attendance at the Orange Bowl. I'm sure many, many folks are traveling down from Kentucky as well. Congratulations Cards fans and hopefully your team gets a victory as well.

South Florida does have one of the biggest UofL alumni associations. But not so big as to strongly influence the numbers.

No, but if Wake travels as well for the Orange Bowl as they did the ACC title game it should leave plenty of extra tickets for UL fans to obtain that they would not have access to if playing a school capable of bringing 50 to 60k themselves. I would image that this matchup is a scalpers nightmare.

My dad gets 6 tickets to the Orange Bowl every year (he is a Dolphins season ticket holder).....he's selling them, because my mom planned a cruise...I can't go because I am stuck in training at my new job.

It'll be sold out, IMO....they have done that 7 years in a row now.

I agree UL will travel well to south Flordia. They kinda got the shaft, they finally get that BCS game apperance, but get stuck with a matchup that I doubt will generate much national attention. I would suspect a lot of viewers will tune out from this game about mid way throught the 2nd qtr, which is about the time that this game should be over.

That is another thing that people fail to realize. Many Louisville fans go outside of UofL to get thier tickets. Last year at the Gator Bowl, it was said that Louisville only bought 25000 tickets which was less than VTech. However anyone in the audience or in Jacksonville that week could tell you that Louisville far and away led in attendance, with over 30,000.
