After further investigation I've found out that Highlands only shot 3 foul shots. I'm thinking not only the coaching staff but now the refs are in on this odd situation that developed in Newport last night.

I am having a hard time figuring out where this thread has went to. In a game between Highlands vs NewCath it’s hard to believe that either team would only attempt 3 foul shots. That would raise an eyebrow.

Maybe Highlands was just dehydrated from playing in the “sweat box” their has to be some excuse why the lost, right?

Yea thats not really an option here on BGP. Has to be a conspiracy or sabotage. No way someone was just better. Something or someone made the Highlands coaches not play the right kids. Dont even gets started on the 3 foul shots. I've put a call in to KHSAA they assured me someone is looking in to this. If anything ODD goes on from this point forward someone will be on double secret probation.

I don’t seem to remember anyone making excuses for why Highlands lost so I am not sure what all these barbs are about. NCC came back from 15 down and outplayed Highlands. Surely will see a rematch in the Districts and it will be another great game.

Well they won but only scored 33 or so. My guess would be the staff is up to their old tricks again. ODD substitutions at crunch time would be my guess for the low score.

Kiefer was out for Brossart I'm pretty Highlands had everyone.

2 starters still out from the All A game an another varsity player sick.

I've always admired Highlands' Coaching Staff. I think they do a great job. Numbers are always up, wins continue to pile up, and they demonstrate good sportsmanship. I'm thinking that she might be the longest tenured Girls Coach in the 9th Region? Unless Tommy Sorrell has been at Bellevue longer.

 

Also without a Regional title in that 20 year tenure with some pretty good Squads. That shows you the complacency that Highlands is with that particular sport. It's okay just to be just okay.

I guess you're right they will play again. Just seems odd that seasoned coaches wouldn't have the correct players in at crunch time. I'd like to get to the bottom of this is there something going on in Ft. Thomas? Are the Richey's trying to sabotage Highlands basketball? This whole things seems "odd" the turnovers the missed layups the poor defense seems like a plan to take down the program.
