December 5, 200619 yr Author I wont get started on the BCS.... I didnt read a lot of this thread so if this has already been said forgive me. On Dan Patrick today, he had Theismann on and he made what I thought was a very good point. Of all these teams, every year, there is one common denominator and that is strength of schedule. Florida had the toughest schedule in the nation and lost 1 game and they have the opportunity to play for the national championship. Its hard to argue against that if you ask me. Florida was #1 and UM was #3. We aren't talking much of a gap with 119 teams...

Playing a 1A schedule without a 1AA team is also a minor difference. But a difference none the less. You know my beef. Florida after last Saturday and Florida after this Saturday are where they are because USC lost. Still waiting for the new rule in the off season...

Extra game against a quality opponent cant hurt if you win either. Why no conference championship game?

I thought they got in because thats who the computers said was the second best team? I understand your statement is meant to be anti SEC.. However I agree that the BCS system is flawed... to the max.... But Michigan already got their chance, and lost.. So I don't really have a problem with another team getting a shot at OSU, regardless of if Mich should be in the title game or not... They might be the second best team... But they had their shot to prove that they were the best... and lost...

The 12 team rule is why BC is in the ACC and not the Big East. They need one more for a Conference Cash Register game after Miami and Va Tech made it 11. Maybe you only follow the SEC...
