At some point the record is going to get pretty far ahead of everyone else and tough to break. I am guessing he is on pace for 35, 36 TDs or so. That is averaging over 2 a game... that is going to be tough to beat. Thing is, LT started really slow out of the gate.
December 11, 200619 yr I give it three years for it to be until it gets broken again. Who? LT again? With three more games this season, he's going to set the bar so high, I wouldn't be surprised if it stands for a while this time. Unless, of course, LT plays a whole season like this instead of just 12 weeks... Reggie Bush could be a candidate for it at some point in the future...he had a good nose for the end zone at USC. A lot of it depends on whether the Saints will let him carry the ball at the goalline, or if they'll give him the Barry Sanders/Tiki Barber treatment...take the best RB on the field out of the game because you have a guy that ways 250 pounds. I never understood that...how do you justify taking Barry Sanders out every time you get inside the 10 yard line? How many times did Barry run Detroit inside the 10, only to get benched and watch them settle for a FGA? But, I digress...sorry...

December 11, 200619 yr I remember watching Emmitt break the record, I couldn't believe it at the time, great individual accomplishment for all of these record breakers.
December 12, 200619 yr More advanced offensive play calling has driven this record up. For years running backs ran the ball and wide receivers caught the ball. Now there are so many runners who catch the ball out of the backfield that they get more touches and subsequently more scores. I think the scoring record should be close to leveling off with Tomlinson, however.
