Johnson Central makes the trip to Belfry to take on the Pirates as this rivalry/tradition continues. Should be one of the better games this week.

Usually is Big Boy Football. Should be interesting.

This is one of my favorite games of the year, every year. It's like Tom Osborne's Cornhuskers vs. Barry Switzer's Sooners in the 70s and 80s. Physical, smash mouth football at its finest.

 

Huge game in terms of RPI and both teams getting in one last challenge to refocus for the playoffs after spending the past month with the starters on the bench for half their games.

 

Having Dixon back in the fold is obviously huge for Belfry, but I'm thinking JC might be a little too much for the Pirates this year. Even by Belfry standards, this year's team is incredibly one dimensional so far. It's a great dimension, but JC has been a brick wall for opposing running games this season. And then there's Riley Preece. There's a lot to be said about the savvy of a four year starting quarterback. He runs well, excels in the ball handling aspect of JC's offense, makes good decisions, and has an underrated arm.

 

I think the score will be somewhere in the vicinity of last year's... 34-21 Johnson Central.

This game really intrigues me. I can't wait to see the final for this one.

On a side note, I thought it was awesome that Belfry gave out treasures chests with goodies in them to the seniors on senior night. It was cool to see the skull and crossbones on the side of the chest as they looked really well made and were rather large. I bet those young men cherish that the rest of their days! Nice touch Belfry!

Been a mix of cataclysmic errors by Belfry and JC is simply the more well rounded team.

 

JC would be winning this game by 2 scores regardless, but you cannot let a team like that have the luxury of turnovers that set them up for easy scores or turnovers when you are driving.
