Played and hung tough with Highlands for a half, then flood gates open after Perrin goes down with injury. Shutout a good Lloyd team. And in there screwed up district have more miles logged than anyone else in KY probably. Still win.

You are right, they deserve some recognition for the season they are having. The schedule is not very strong, but a large part of that is being in a weak district. Scott should be good through to round 3. Unfortunately, Scott is on the wrong side of the state for 4A. There are 5 or 6 teams on their side of the state that are ranked above them, which means round 3 will almost certainly be their upside limit for this season. Regardless of whether I am right about round 3, congrats to Scott on the fine season they have going.

If everything plays out to the RPI ratings then I believe that Scott will be playing at Boyle in round #3 of the playoffs.

Definitely an uphill battle in playoffs, but you never know. That’s why you play the game. Great year considering new Coach, new QB, etc. and for the record, I think it totally stinks that a team from Taylor Mill has to play so many games out of area distance wise. That’s another challenge no on paper.

I know it's a widespread district, but it's really only one long trip per year. This year it was a trip to Boyd. Next year it will be a trip to Rowan. Harrison County is an hour trip, and not really that bad.

 

They are a talented, young bunch. Their sophomore class is very strong, maybe the best single class the school has ever had. And there are plenty of solid players in the pipeline.

You are spot on, I agree with you one hundred per cent, glad you posted this, I am a Holmes guy and I have said Scott needs to be in the class 4 rating, they are having a nice year and need some love, I am hoping for a good game Friday for,the top seed.

Haven’t been more shocked by a final score all year than last night’s Eagles loss. What the heck happened? Would have never guessed that final.

I was there. Scott went up 14-0 then allowed a long Dixie pass that led to a touchdown late second quarter. Scott then threw an interception and Dixie scored again to tie it right before half. From my view, Scott just wilted. They couldn’t do a thing on offense and Dixie ran the ball at will. It was a shocking turn of events over about a five minute stretch.

What happened is Scott had a nice drive for their first score set up by a pass down the middle that went for at least 45yds. Dixie drove down to the goal line easily where they fumbled on the three yard line back to Scott. Scott then drove 93 yds for a score taking up most of the time in the second half. After that it was all Dixie who scored twice with three minutes to go in the half. Dixies defense was much better in the 3rd and 4th quarters, providing a fumble recovery, two interceptions (one pick 6), and their Offense just ran the ball too effectively. That Scott running back Perrin is an absolute stud.

I wasn’t there but having seen both teams in person this year, Dixie is a much better team than records shows. I too was shocked at score, but know Dixie has talent and a pretty good team too.
