I don't want to break any BGP rules by posting hearsay. I feel like I'm on eggshells posting what I did. To vaguely answer your questions;

1. Lack of interest in bringing in CSAA student athletes, and overlooking "local" kids.

2. Not "local", but one has been a coordinator in the past (not him), and one is a current coach at a top tier school a little north (with him).

Again, I don't want to spread "rumors", I'm just stating things I've heard about.

I have no idea when Coach Beatty will choose to retire, but I suppose that for anyone in their sixties retirement isn't that far away. When he does retire, he will leave behind a record of accomplishment that I believe is unmatched in Kentucky high school history. It is my understanding that he is also a very good teacher. I have heard the "not the right kids" stuff before. Let's be very clear. Trinity welcomes kids from the widest variety of backgrounds of any private school in Kentucky. That is a strength. It is also the schools commitment going back to the founding of the school. When they walk through the door they aren't CSAA kids, they aren't local kids, they are Trinity kids. I can't think of a higher description.

I saw CAL JV beat Ballard JV 56-0 earlier in season so Ballard may brought better players down to JV after being destroyed by CAL. Or CAL JV might be able to beat the Miami Dolphins.

True, and that list is growing larger by the day. Truth be told, most would like to see him leave after this season. It’s also no secret he has done nothing to “Sell Trinity” as a viable option for academics and athletics. The last two freshman football teams are perfect examples of this. I have been told, quite a few of the coaches in the CSAA and the other leagues, are not fans of him or his coaching. I have heard, there have been some several “on the fence” players that choose to attend other programs, instead of Trinity, because of the coach!

There is a Jaden Minkins that is Sophomore which I believe is Josh’s brother so could’ve been him rather than Josh.

There is video on Ballard’s hudl of Jaden Minkins in Trinity JV game on hudl so that is probably who it was. He is a good player and also plays varsity.
