I don't ever recall saying Fields is not good enough to play in the SEC. I am sure I said at some point that he was not going to start over top of Fromm but that is very different.

One other point, it is funny I got mentioned here because college football is probably my least favorite of the major viewing sports. I have no major rooting interest. The only game this year I have watched more than one quarter of was that Georgia Notre Dame game. I couldn't even confidently name the top 5 in college football right now and I'm not sure if Alabama or Clemson is #1 right now. I'll start paying attention to college football about the time the official rankings come out.

True, it was basically all Georgia fans, Bugatti, VOR, Woody and Jump was mad he was eligible.

 

But hey he’s here now and only a sophomore, so we get another year and a half to see how he progresses.

Can't blame Fields at all for wanting to give himself the best opportunity to excel at this level and the next. Assuming Fromme doesn't get hurt, he is looking at two additional years of riding the pine.

An apparent scathing remark. Also scathing is I felt Jalen Hurts would be sitting behind Tua this season had he not transferred.

 

Kentucky aside, does Georgia have some kind of restriction to where he cannot transfer to another SEC school?

A clear attempt to call out Fields by questioning the (absurd) lengths schools go through to block transfers.

 

I know this is not just an SEC football thing, but the fact a school can block where another kid wants to attend college is criminal. I feel for kids because they are unrepresented. I have always felt this practice should be challenged in the courts.

This one is it! The "candlestick in the ballroom" evidence that I was beyond mad - furious, actually - that Fields transferred and was immediately eligible.

Wow this thread is crazy. It's not hard to figure out. Even Fields didn't think he would beat out Fromm, and was given a chance to be able to play right away so he was smart to take it. Plus honestly OSU system fits him better.

 

Just like Jalen Hurts wasn't going to start at Bama this year. So he left and now he he has been one of the front runners to win the Heisman.

 

You may be a great QB, and another great qb may be able to beat you out in that teams system. It doesn't mean that team that didn't start you was dumb, that just means they chose the guys that fits them the best.
