Thinking back to when St. X played Male, it seemed like Doug Bodhaine was a bit hesitate with his decision making; almost trying to make the perfect play. It'll be something to watch in the flow of the St. X offense in terms of how quickly he's able to process the defense and make a play off of that information.

Trinity likely will be without RB B. West. He is out with a broken wrist. I believe Tucker running every play against Male was a contributing factor in that loss.

It’ll be interesting to see how Coach Wallace and offensive staff decide to use Mekhi Smith; he can be a difference maker for St. X.

Right. That was the vanilla play calling I was talking about in the post game thread.

I think St. X will come out with a bit of a chip on their shoulder to prove to themselves and others that their first match-up with one of the big 2 wasn't a true indication of what type of team they are. I'm going with the Tigers in this one in a competitive, low scoring game:

Ah yes! 2001 was a great game. Trinity went on to win the class 4A state title that year.

My favorites are the Trinity victories in 1966 (18-7) and in 2006 (14-6). St. X was overwhelming favorites in both.

My favorite was 1993. I was a Senior and had lost to Trinity the previous 3 years and won 9-6 in OT. Both Trinity and St.X were down that year by St.X and Trinity standards. It was also the year that St.X last lost to Manual.

My personal favorite is the 2004 game. My senior year and we beat Trinity 36-18 using the passing game. Brent Curely was the starting X QB and he was in the ballpark of 21-24 passing that night.
