Based on a common opponent the past two weeks (Lewis Co.) it should be a very good game this year. East defeated Lewis 49-0 and West defeated Lewis 50-7.

It will be interesting to see how East responds to a team that is competitive. They have been impressive against teams that are struggling but West has some players and will get after you.

Will the speed of West be too much for East?

I say West 35-26.

This might be the most hyped up game between these two in a long time. It could really go either way, but I'll give the edge to West Carter simply because they've owned the series in recent years and they'll have the best player on the field. I think Cline makes enough plays to put West on top for at least another year.

Friday the 13th, Full Moon, and East vs West. What more could you ask for. To us, this is the Game of the Week. To them Carter Co Boys, this is the Game of the Year. These 2 teams are evenly matched in every category. Including Speed! One of the biggest competitions in the field will be West’s OLine vs East’s DLine. This will be a good game. East 28, West 21.

Congratulations to East Carter for beating Fairview, Lewis, and Morgan County to "hype" this game up. This will be the 3rd straight year East will come into the Game 3-0. Although East Carters skill players have improved, West Carter will have the best player on the field again in #21 L. Cline. West Carter played a very good team in Mercer county down to the end. It was 6-0 with 8 minutes left in the 4th quarter West Carter turned the ball over and lost. East Carter has scored 150 points and has not had to block anyone, I think the scheduling will come into play in this game. East will have to block West Carters defense or it'll be a long night for the Raiders. West Carter needs to take care of business Friday Night and get ready to move on to district play and the playoffs.

This is such a hard game to pick, it really could go either way. I could see something in the range of 21-7, 38-20, 50-0, 49-13, or 42-8. Really hard to predict.

It could help with a three team tiebreaker the more wins someone you beat has the better. However I don’t see a three way tie in that district. I think the East / Greenup game will just see which team plays Ashland and which one plays Russell.
